Events

We host a variety of events throughout the year. We usually run targeted drives for these causes starting (in some cases, 60 days in advance). Seasonal events include:

  • Volunteer Appreciation Game Night (April 25th)

  • Back to School Block Party (August 9th 2025)

  • Fall Fundraiser - annual appeal to help with 20% of pantry operational costs (funds used towards extra produce purchases and one multilingual registration clerk)

  • Boo Bash for Halloween (October 18th 2025)

  • Thanksgiving Meal and outerwear Distribution (November 22nd, 2025)

  • Christmas Food Distribution (December 20th, 2025)

  • Holiday Toy Distribution (December 13th 2025)

The Mercadito Gratis is accepting clothing donations the 1st-15th of every month! We often get many comments, dms, and questions about where and how you can donate and while we appreciate everyone’s thoughtfulness we are almost always at full capacity! So we ask everyone to check our website for the clothing items we currently DO need so we can serve our clients to the best of our ability. We also ask that when sorting through your donations you look at the quality of item. Second-hand and gently worn things are fine but we don’t want to distribute anything with holes or stains!
